Sauvignon Blend Oeno/Genesis, Oenosophist, Drama 2009

Ancient Greek writer Athenaeus definitively detailed the gastronomy of Greece in his great work Deipnosophistae, which loosely translates to “dinner philosophers”. Oenosophist plays on this, means “wine-wise,” and teaches the philosophy of superlative Greek winemaking.

The result of careful vinification of grapes from old, low-yielding vines, meticulously aged first in oak barrels for 6 months and then in the bottle for 6 months, it features the sweetly spiced aroma of fruit, a lush taste, an estimable structure and complexity, with a long duration. Reminiscent of the nature of wisdom, Oenosophist White evolves with age.
